Sharon Cuneta – Pangilinan is a multi-awarded actress, singer, and TV host. She was being called the “Megastar of Philippine Entertainment” by her beloved fans and those from the entertainment industry. She was very successful in her 53 staring roles of the Philippine movies, 6 television shows, and recorded 40 albums which make her the greatest female Filipino performer to all time. This awe of popularity was also very apparent into advertising industry. Currently, she is the most effective Filipina endorser and the highest paid celebrity in product commercials such as medicines, shampoo, fast food chain, makeup, milk, electronics, ice-cream, and Telecommunication Company.
The popularity has never stop as on the first semester of 2010, she was awarded as the “2009 MMFF Best Actress” for Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love and “Diamond Record Award” by her album ‘10 X Platinum’ for “Isn’t It Romantic?”. Last January 12, 2010, along with her birthday show, she had launched her self-titled magazine “Sharon at Home” and hit its peak by becoming the best-selling titles of ABS-CBN Publishing.
Sharon Cuneta is a daughter of Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta live in Santa Ana, Pampanga and Pablo Cuneta, mayor of Pasay City for forty years. Sharon is half-tagalog (paternal side) and one-fourth Spanish Filipino and Kapampangan (maternal side). She grows up encircled by music of her father’s collection.
Sharon’s first TV appearance is in the Kuya Ike Lozada’s show, in the Bulilit portion, where she impersonates her Tita Helen Gamboa’s songs. While she first appear on the movie “Lovers for Hire” by Rosanna Ortiz-George Estregan where she played as one of the Roderick Paulate’s playmates.
